| Obverse description | Bare head of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing left, portrayed with a medium-length beard consistent with his mature imperial iconography. The effigy displays characteristic curly hair rendered in low relief, with the facial features exhibiting the naturalistic style typical of Antonine provincial coinage. A Latin legend encircles the portrait in the field. The flan is irregular and slightly off-centre, as is common for struck provincial bronzes of this period. |
