| Obverse description | Draped bust of Tranquillina, diademed, facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mesopotamian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters, abbreviated as ϹΑΒ ΤΡΑΝ ΑΥΓ, identifying her as Sabinia Tranquillina Augusta, consort of Gordian III. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination of provincial bronze issues. The portrait, though worn, preserves the stylized drapery folds at the shoulder. |

| Reverse description | A laurel wreath occupies the central field of the reverse, enclosing the Greek letters ΝΕ — the ethnic abbreviation for Nisibis (Νισίβων or Νισιβηνῶν) — serving as the sole reverse type and identifying the issuing civic authority. The wreath is rendered in the simplified provincial style typical of small Mesopotamian bronzes of the Gordian III period. The flan edges are ragged and uneven, consistent with hand-struck civic coinage of the region. No additional border or exergual line is present. |
