Saitta was a minor Lydian settlement in the Hermus valley whose civic coinage under Elagabalus represents some of the smallest issues from the Sardis conventus — a judicial district where dozens of cities competed for imperial favor partly by minting bronze for local exchange. The city's output under this emperor is sparse, and pieces at this module are among the lightest struck in its name.
