Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, the effigy rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Edessene coinage. The portrait displays a laurel wreath with distinctive beaded detail encircling the head. A Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges consistent with provincial hammered production of the Severan period.
