| Reverse description | Two crossed cornucopiae arranged diagonally, each surmounted by a small bust or finial, forming an X-shaped composition at the centre of the flan. The monogram ΒΑ (abbreviation for ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, 'of the King', referring to Agrippa II) appears prominently in the central field between the crossed cornucopiae. The surrounding Greek legend ΕΤΟ ΚΖ ΑΓΡΙΠΠΑ, indicating regnal year 27 of Agrippa II, runs around the outer border. The reverse is framed by a beaded border. The design reflects the dual authority of Roman imperial power and the client king Agrippa II. |
