| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Ionian mint at Samos. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Domitian's mature effigy, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the head. The encircling legend ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ runs around the bust in Greek characters. The flan is irregular, as typical of Flavian-era provincial bronze coinage from the Aegean. |

| Reverse description | A peacock standing right, rendered in the local Samian provincial style, the bird's body and tail clearly distinguishable despite the worn flan surface. The peacock, sacred to Hera whose principal sanctuary was located on Samos, serves as an emblematic civic type for the island. The ethnic legend ϹΑΜΙΩΝ is placed in the field around the device, identifying the issuing community. The overall fabric and style are consistent with Flavian-period civic bronzes of the Conventus of Miletus. |
