Obverse description Draped bust of Antonia Minor facing left, her hair arranged in the characteristic Julio-Claudian style with a rolled bun at the nape of the neck. The Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΙΑ appears to the right of the bust in the field. The portrait is rendered in the restrained, classicizing manner typical of Macedonian provincial bronze coinage under Claudius, reflecting the honorific posthumous status accorded to the emperor's mother.
