Obverse description Radiate head of Emperor Caracalla facing left, wearing a radiate crown with clearly visible diverging rays. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic late Severan style, with a short beard and strong facial features. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy around the periphery of the flan.
