| Obverse description | Bare head of Gaius Caesar facing right, rendered in the youthful portrait style typical of Augustan-era provincial coinage. The effigy displays short, neatly arranged hair with fine strands visible above the brow, consistent with early imperial iconographic conventions. The bust is truncated at the neck and set within a plain, slightly irregular circular field. The Greek legend ΓΑΙΟΣ appears to the left of the portrait, identifying the subject as Gaius Caesar, grandson and adopted heir of Augustus. |
