| 裏面の説明 | A large upright anchor depicted in the center of the field, its stock rendered horizontally at the top and a ring at the base, serving as the civic symbol of Tiberias. The anchor is flanked on either side by the Greek municipal legend of Tiberias Claudia. The regnal date L Ϙ (year 90 of the Tiberian civic era, corresponding to 107–108 CE) appears within the legend. The design is contained within a beaded border. |

Tiberias was founded by Herod Antipas around 20 AD on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee, deliberately built over a cemetery — a fact that made it ritually impure and initially unpopular among observant Jews. By Trajan's reign it had long overcome that stigma and functioned as the administrative capital of Galilee. The city's municipal bronze issues under Trajan are dated by regnal year, with L Ϙ denoting year 90 of the Tiberian civic era, placing this piece in 107/108 AD.
