Reverse description An agonistic crown rendered in three-quarter perspective occupies the central field, adorned with a single upright palm branch rising from its centre, symbolising athletic victory at the Severan games. The crown is depicted with articulated tiers and a broad base, consistent with the prize crowns depicted on Greek provincial agonistic coinage. The circular legend ϹΕΟΥΗΡΕΙΑ ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ surrounds the device, proclaiming the Severan games of the Nicaeans, a festival established in honour of the Severan dynasty. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
