| Beschrijving keerzijde | An eagle stands facing right with wings spread open, head turned back to the left, a type closely associated with Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage. The eagle, a symbol of imperial power and the principal deity of the Egyptian mint's reverse iconography, is depicted in a bold, schematic style consistent with the hammered technique. The flan is irregular and the relief somewhat worn, as is typical of circulated examples of this small Neronian issue. |
