| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus, lightly bearded and laureate, facing right and seen from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The legend encircles the effigy and contains a notable engraving error, the letter L rendered in the form of a lambda (Λ). The portrait reflects the early Imperial provincial style characteristic of Mysian mint production under the co-emperorship of Marcus Aurelius. |
