Additional information

Tentyra — modern Dendera — was a cult center of Hathor, and Hadrian visited Egypt in 130 AD, a journey that left a documented mark on provincial coinage across the nome series. The "L ΙΑ" regnal year notation places this piece in year 11 of Hadrian's reign, corresponding to 126/127 AD, within the broader Alexandrian nome coinage program that assigned individual Egyptian cult sites their own small bronze issues.

These nome bronzes were not struck at the local sites themselves — all production ran through the Alexandria mint.
