Reverse description A small standing figure, possibly Telesphorus, depicted facing left in a stiff, frontal posture with a hooded or cloaked garment enveloping the body to the feet. The figure holds an uncertain object, possibly a patera or staff, the detail of which is obscured by wear and encrustation. The Greek ethnic legend ΤΙΑΝΩΝ appears to the right in the field, identifying the issuing city of Tium. A dotted border is partially visible at the base. The overall style is characteristic of small-module provincial bronze coinage from Bithynia.
