Obverse description Bare youthful head of Lucius Verus facing right, depicted as Caesar with close-cropped hair rendered in small curls. The portrait occupies the central field with a draped bust truncation visible at the base. The circular Greek legend ΛΟΥΚΙΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ runs around the periphery of the flan. The style is consistent with provincial civic coinage of Aeolis under the Antonine dynasty, with somewhat coarse but characterful die-cutting typical of the Elaea mint.
