Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian bronze coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic broad features with a laurel wreath encircling the head. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is typical of small hammered Alexandrian bronzes of this period, with the portrait occupying the majority of the field.
