| 正面描述 | Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in low relief in the provincial Egyptian style. The portrait, though heavily worn and partially obscured by patination, displays the characteristic features associated with Trajanic portraiture. No legend is visible, consistent with the small module of this Alexandrian issue. |

Year 11 of Trajan's reign in Egypt — 107/108 AD — fell during the height of the Dacian Wars, with the second Dacian campaign concluding in 106 AD and Dacia formally absorbed as a Roman province. Alexandria's mint continued producing small bronze issues for local Egyptian circulation, operating under the distinct reckoning of regnal years rather than the Roman consular calendar. These tiny bronzes circulated at the bottom of the provincial monetary hierarchy, often alongside older Ptolemaic-era tokens still in use by habit rather than official sanction.
