Obverse description Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with characteristic vine-leaf and berry crown visible around the hair. The portrait is set within a plain field, with the encircling ethnic legend ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ disposed around the periphery. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat flat, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Tiberian period.
