Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Roman provincial style, with fine detailing on the laurel wreath. The flan is irregular, as typical of small bronze nomismata struck in Roman Egypt during this period.

Reverse description A hawk standing right, wearing the pschent (double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt), depicted in the Egyptian hieratic tradition adapted for Roman provincial coinage. The bird is shown in profile with wings folded against the body. The nome legend and regnal year inscription appear in the field, identifying this issue as belonging to the Metelite nome struck in year 11 of Hadrian's reign.
