附加信息	Cos sat within the Conventus of Halicarnassus, one of the administrative districts Rome used to organize the province of Asia for judicial and fiscal purposes. Municipal bronzes of this size from the island were struck in limited volume and circulated locally — rarely travelling far given Cos's geographic position in the southeastern Aegean. Hadrian visited the region during his extensive tours of the eastern provinces, and civic minting activity across Asia Minor visibly intensified during his reign as cities competed for imperial favor through monument-building and coinage alike.
