Came was a minor Lydian settlement granted limited civic coining rights under the Antonine and Severan dynasties — a privilege extended to dozens of small Asia Minor communities as Rome allowed local bronze to circulate for everyday transactions that imperial coinage rarely reached. The magistrate name ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ places this issue within a known sequence of civic officials, though the man himself is otherwise unattested in the epigraphic record.
