| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately styled in the characteristic ridged waves of the Severan period, drawn back into a bun at the nape. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage. The obverse legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ curves around the bust, identifying the empress as Augusta. The flan is small and irregularly shaped, consistent with locally produced bronze issues of the Conventus of Pergamum. |
