Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in low relief characteristic of provincial bronze coinage. The laureate wreath is visible around the head, with the drapery of the cuirass discernible at the shoulder. The surrounding Greek legend names the emperor as Commodus Antoninus. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat uneven, typical of Nabataean-influenced provincial issues from Bostra.
