The Northern Satraps operated as a succession of semi-autonomous governors nominally subordinate to the great Kushano-Scythian rulers but effectively running their own monetary policy across the Punjab and upper Indus regions. The satrap Mujatria is poorly attested in the historical record — his name survives almost exclusively through his coinage, with no contemporary textual source confirming his dates or exact territorial authority.
Senior 147 is a scarce type, turning up far less frequently than issues of better-documented satraps like Zeionises or Kharahostes.
