| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicting a bull (Nandi) in profile facing right, rendered in low relief in the characteristic early medieval Indian style. A border of pellets runs along the upper periphery of the flan. The type is associated with the Kalachuri rulers of Mahismati and reflects the Shaivite religious symbolism prevalent in their coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly scalloped at the edges, typical of hand-struck copper issues of this period. The field is otherwise plain with no visible legend. |
