Aanvullende informatie

The Audumbara were a tribal people settled in the Kangra valley region of the western Himalayas, and their coinage is among the earliest attributed to any hill tribe of the Indian subcontinent. These anonymous issues — lacking a ruler's name — predate the named Audumbara series associated with chiefs such as Dharaghosa and Sivadasa, suggesting an early phase of monetary adoption before dynastic identity was projected onto coinage. At 1.30g, this falls at the lighter end of the known weight range for the type.
