| Obverse description | Bare head of Hermes facing right, wearing the broad-brimmed petasos characteristic of the messenger god, rendered in a bold Hellenistic style with strong facial relief. The hair is rendered in short, tightly worked locks visible beneath the brim of the hat. The portrait fills much of the flan, with no surrounding legend or border visible. The modeling of the profile is confident, with clearly articulated brow, nose, and chin typical of Bithynian royal bronze coinage of the period. |
