Reverse description The reverse displays a four-line Devanagari legend filling the field in bold, deeply incuse characters, reading across the flan from top to bottom. The inscription, referencing the ruling authority and the Ladakh mint, is rendered in a square, blocky Devanagari hand typical of mid-nineteenth century Indian princely coinage. The irregular flan edge is characteristic of the hammered production technique, with no formal border ornament present.
