| Beschrijving keerzijde | A lion crouching to the left with head turned back to the right, enclosed within a laurel wreath, the central type referencing the emperor's name through visual punning — Leo meaning 'lion' in Latin. Some specimens bear a cross or a circled cross (⊕) above the lion in the upper field. The mint mark ANTA, denoting the Antioch mint, appears in the exergue or field. The composition is confined within the small, irregularly shaped flan characteristic of this late Roman minor bronze denomination. The reverse design is struck in low relief with variable centering. |
