| Obverse description | Draped bust of Persephone facing left, her flowing hair bound with a wreath of grain ears, rendered in fine Syracusan style. The goddess wears pendant earrings, visible beneath the carefully detailed locks of hair that fall across her neck and cheek. The portrait is modeled in high relief with expressive facial features characteristic of the Hellenistic coinage of Syracuse under Hieron II. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription. |

| Reverse description | Pegasos in full gallop to the right, wings raised and spread prominently above the body, forelegs extended in dynamic flight posture. The winged horse is depicted with careful anatomical detail, including musculature of the haunches and the feathering of the large upswept wings. The reverse field is otherwise plain, with no encircling legend, consistent with the early issues of Hieron II's bronze coinage. The coin shows a fine green patina with good relief on the central type. |
