Obverse description Bare-headed and draped bust of Decentius facing right, rendered in a barbarous, provincial style typical of Germanic imitative coinage. The portrait is relatively crude in execution, with a thickened neck and simplified facial features, reflecting the hand of a non-Roman die-cutter. A circular beaded border surrounds the design. The obverse legend, partially garbled, runs around the bust in the manner of official late Roman imperial coinage.
