| Obverse description | Rightward-facing pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II, rendered in a barbarous style characteristic of Germanic imitative coinage. The effigy is encircled by a degenerate, nonsensical legend derived from the imperial prototype, with letterforms reduced to crude imitations of Latin script. The portrait retains the general compositional elements of the Roman original but exhibits the simplified, schematic execution typical of late antique barbarous radiates and FEL TEMP REPARATIO imitations. |
