| Beschrijving keerzijde | Barbarous imitation of the FEL TEMP REPARATIO reverse type, depicting a Roman soldier on horseback riding over a fallen enemy. The horseman is shown in a dynamic pose, with a kneeling or prostrate figure beneath the horse rendered in a crude, energetic style typical of Germanic imitative bronzes. The surrounding legend is a debased derivative of the standard FEL TEMP REPARATIO inscription, heavily garbled and nearly illegible. The exergue retains traces of a mint mark imitating Roman workshop abbreviations. The entire composition reflects a vigorous but stylistically degenerate copy of mid-fourth-century Roman prototypes. |
