| Beschrijving keerzijde | Blundered and barbarous imitation of the PROVIDENTIAE CAESS reverse type, depicting a camp gate (castellum) with two turrets, a central gateway with latticed door panels, and a star above. The architectural details are crudely rendered with simplified hatching to suggest the gate's structure. Two or three tiers of battlements are visible above the gateway. The surrounding legend is largely illegible and heavily blundered, imitating the PROVIDENTIAE CAESS formula used at official Roman mints including Constantinople. The exergue contains a debased mintmark, rendered as CXC, imitating the Constantinople mint signature. |
