Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend contained within a single circular border, citing the Abbasid caliph al-Mustadi (r. 566–575 AH / 1170–1180 CE) in the customary formulaic acknowledgment of suzerainty. The mintname, tentatively identified as Tirmidh, and the regnal date appear partially legible but are heavily worn and unclear. The surrounding flat field shows pronounced green patination consistent with prolonged burial, and the flan is irregular with uneven margins characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the eastern Islamic world.
