Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the vigorous Hellenistic style characteristic of early third-century Macedonian coinage. The god is depicted with a full, flowing beard and abundant wavy hair elaborately worked in deep relief, secured by a laurel wreath. The portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, occupying nearly the entire obverse field, with no surrounding legend. The die-cutting displays confident, bold modelling of the facial features, consistent with the royal workshops operating under Demetrius I Poliorcetes.
