| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the local Bruttian idiom with coarse but expressive modeling. The deity's hair is rendered with short, leaf-like locks framing the face, and traces of a wreath are discernible despite heavy patination and surface wear. The broad, irregular flan is characteristic of locally produced Bruttian bronze coinage. The field surrounding the bust is largely plain, with details obscured by a thick green patina consistent with prolonged burial. |
