Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of a late Roman imperial figure facing right, rendered in a barbarous style characteristic of Germanic imitative coinage. The portrait features a radiate or diademed head with simplified facial features, surrounded by a border of pellets or beaded dots. The legend, largely degenerate, consists of repeated strokes imitating Latin lettering but devoid of legible meaning, indicative of a die-cutter unfamiliar with the original prototype. The overall execution is crude, with flat and uneven relief typical of low-module irregular bronze issues of the Migration Period.
