| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caesar Gaius Julius Verus Maximus (Maximus) facing right, depicted from behind the right shoulder in the three-quarter rear view characteristic of his portraiture. The effigy displays paludamentum over the cuirass, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated in the legend. The surface carries heavy patination consistent with a provincial bronze issue, with the portrait rendered in the bold relief typical of Ionian civic coinage of the Severan period. The encircling Greek legend identifies the Caesar by his full titulature. |

The composition follows the established iconographic programme of Ionian civic bronzes, with the deity rendered in the round in a hieratic stance. The encircling Greek legend names the issuing authority in the genitive plural. The reverse field shows the characteristic granular surfaces and green patination of a provincially struck Æ 30. |
