| Reverse description | Central heraldic shield of the State of Hawaii surmounted by a royal crown, the quartered arms displaying the Hawaiian state coat of arms with a rising sun, pulo'ulo'u (royal ball), crossed paddle and spear, and the Hawaiian flag canton. Two decorative ribbon banners flank the shield bearing the dates 1959 and 1984, while a lower scroll carries the inscription AUGUST 21. The arcing legend HAWAIIAN STATEHOOD and SILVER JUBILEE occupies the upper field, with ADMISSION DAY DALA along the lower periphery.
