| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with detailed hair locks falling behind the neck and a prominent laurel wreath crown. The facial features are well-modelled with a sharp profile, defined brow, and slightly parted lips characteristic of late Republican-era Greek civic coinage. The reverse of the laurel wreath is rendered with individual leaves clearly articulated, filling much of the flan. A beaded border runs along the coin's periphery. |

| Reverse description | The poet Homer seated to the left upon a throne or chair, draped in a himation, holding an open scroll in his right hand while resting his head contemplatively upon his raised left hand. The figure conveys scholarly repose consistent with Hellenistic portrait conventions for the blind bard, with Smyrna's legendary claim as Homer's birthplace reflected in this civic type. The ethnic ΣΜΥΡΝΑΙΩΝ appears in the field alongside the magistrate's name ΑΧΙΛΛΗΤΟΣ ΑΧΙΛΛΗΤΟΥ, identifying the issuing authority as Achilletos, son of Achilletos. |
