| Obverse description | Three-line Persian poetic inscription in bold Nasta'liq script occupying the full field, divided by two horizontal ruled lines creating distinct registers. The upper register bears the opening hemistich glorifying the act of coining, the central register names Nader Shah as sovereign of the Iranian lands, and the lower register carries the mint name Tiflis in the exergue. The deeply struck calligraphy fills the flan to its edges, characteristic of Afsharid hammered silver coinage. |
