| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script, arranged within a lobed cartouche. The inscription records the accession date (jalus) of Nader Shah, reading 'al-khayr fima waqa'a' (goodness in what has come to pass), followed by the auspicious enthronement formula and the regnal date 1148 AH. The cartouche is set against a flat field, surrounded by a broad border of impressed granular or pellet decoration encircling the entire coin. |

| Reverse description | Central field bearing a four-line Persian verse legend in Nasta'liq script, filling the entire flan without a defined cartouche. The inscription glorifies Nader Shah's sovereignty, reading: 'He struck coin in gold, giving the name of kingship to the world / Nader, [lord of] the land of Iran and sovereign conqueror of the universe.' The bold, flowing calligraphy is executed in high relief characteristic of Afsharid hammered coinage, with lines separated by finely incised rules. The field extends to the rim without a border device. |
