Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Persian panegyric legend in flowing nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal registers across the field and enclosed within a cartouche formed by ruled lines. The inscription glorifies Nader Shah as sovereign of Iran and conqueror of the world, reading: 'Sikka bar zar kard nam-i saltanat ra dar jahan / Nader-i Iran zamin wa Khusraw-i giti-sitan / Zarb Nakhchivan 1149.' The mint name Nakhchivan (Nakhjavān) and the AH date 1149 appear prominently in the lower register. A dentilated inner border surrounds the legend, consistent with the obverse framing, and the hammered silver flan bears natural flow lines from striking.
