| Reverse description | The reverse presents three horizontal registers of Nasta'liq Arabic script contained within a prominent border of raised pellets encircling the entire field. The upper register carries the Shahada or a portion of the Islamic profession of faith, while the central and lower registers bear the mint name and additional religious or royal formulae. The pellet border is well-defined and evenly struck, a hallmark of Type B Afsharid abbasi coinage. The calligraphic style is fluid and deeply incused against a smooth silver field, consistent with hammered production at the Māzandarān mint. |
