Additional information

Adel Shah's reign lasted roughly a year before he was blinded and executed by his own nephew in 1748. The Tabriz mint was among the few that struck in his name during this chaotic interregnum following Nader Shah's assassination, and the volume of output was predictably low. Album 2760 covers a narrow typological window, and Tabriz attributions within it require careful die study given the mint's inconsistent output during Afsharid succession crises.
