A radiant halo of twelve stars encircles her crowned head, underscoring her role as Patroness of the Republic of Genoa. The Latin legend ET · REGE · EOS · arcs around the left and right periphery, with the date 1795 inscribed to the right. The denomination L · 96 appears prominently in the lower exergue, separated by a central dot. The overall composition reflects the deep Marian devotion characteristic of Genoese coinage of the period. |
