Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, showing three lions atop an abacus bearing a Dharma Chakra. Below the emblem, the national motto सत्यमेव जयते (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') is inscribed in Devanagari script. The legend भारत appears along the left periphery and INDIA along the right periphery in large upright lettering. The denomination ₹900 is prominently displayed in large numerals along the lower portion of the field.
