Beschrijving voorzijde Central vignette within an octagonal frame presents a coloured townscape of Rathenow, with a tall Gothic church spire rising above surrounding buildings and foliage reflected in water below. The denomination '90' appears in stylised numerals at upper left and upper right, flanking the town name 'Rathenow' in ornate blackletter script at top centre. Redemption and validity texts are set in Gothic script to either side of the vignette, with facsimile signatures of municipal officials below, and the printer's imprint 'Flemming-Wiskott A.-G. Glogau' along the lower margin; decorative corner flourishes in green frame the entire composition.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central black-ground vignette portrays a caricatured elderly man wearing pince-nez spectacles, seated and reading a document inscribed 'Steuern' (taxes), with a pendulum wall clock visible in the background to his left. The denomination '90' in bold numerals appears at upper left and upper right corners, while the town name 'Rathenow' is set in large blackletter script along the lower margin. Decorative red arabesque scrollwork and paired bird motifs fill the side panels, framing the humorous illustration within a double-ruled border.
Opschrift keerzijde Wenn rosig immer deine Brille, Sind dir die Steuern nie zu ville
(Translation: If your glasses are always rosy, the taxes will never seem too much to you.)
